Now the correct decision has been brought into light, I’m not sure if I’m relieved or horrified. Even though they tried to cover up/explain Masipa’s alarming errors, not only in justice but common sense reasoning (judge Leach’s words not mine), there is no denying she made a complete mess in her ruling. Unless I am seriously mistaken, the judges even hinted at the fact that OP should really have been found guilty of Dolus Directus. His contradicting version, three defenses, circumstantial evidence, terrible witness and blatant lies, was more than enough to convict him.
I also loved the fact that the judges never made any reference to his disability in explaining his action. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!
This was not the act of a reasonable person, it was a cowardly cold blooded, gutless murderer
This verdict brings with it a sense of relief that justice has been done for Reeva, her family, relatives, friends, and those of us all around the world who have followed the trial. I am sure it is a very sad day for the Pistorius family but, unfortunately, a necessary consequence of Oscar’s actions. It took awhile but justice has now triumphed.
